Executive Assistant (Part-Time)
Description
Bethel is seeking a part-time Executive Assistant, and the successful candidate must be spiritually mature and possess exemplary administrative and organizational skills in providing support to Bethel’s leadership team.
Hours
Monday through Thursday, ~25 hours/week
Principal Function
The Executive Assistant (EA) primarily serves as the individual responsible for administrative support for the Senior (Lead) Pastor.
The EA will provide administrative support in an accurate and timely manner while performing with a high level of discretion in handling confidential information and data.
The EA will exemplify poise and professionalism, strong organizational and computer skills in alignment with the duties outlined below.
This position reports directly to the Senior (Lead) Pastor.

with the Senior Pastor and the Bethel Temple leadership.
Responsibilities
Maintain effective communication with the Senior Pastor, his staff, congregation, board members, outside vendors, community at large.
o Receive/field incoming calls for the Pastor or the responsible ministry leaders.
o Return calls in an expeditious manner with appropriate response.
Maintain calendar for the Senior Pastor. Exercise sound judgment in scheduling appointments and resolving schedule conflicts based on knowledge of importance and responsibilities.
Arrange/coordinate travel and prepare expenses for travel reimbursement as appropriate.
Prepare and submit purchase requisitions for ministry expenses.
Prepare and submit supply orders as needed for supporting ministry
departments.
Check for and screen all mail, and messages for the Senior Pastor.
Attend all meetings as required; follow up on respective action items.
Act as the liaison for guest speakers and coordinate related details.
Schedule Bethel Board meetings and communicate with board members
as appropriate; prepare necessary documentation.
Schedule ministry leaders to serve at Bethel Connect Booth.
Communion elements – assure supply is current.
Assist with Benevolence requests/walk-ins for Executive Leadership Team
(ELT) review.
Work with Congregational Life Pastor and Assistant in making funerals
arrangements and other relative matters.
Maintain attendance numbers via ShelbyNext Church Management
System.
Maintain organized filing system.
Must be competent in Microsoa Office 365.
All other duties assigned respective to the role.
