And when we say DEEPER, we mean deeper in His word and our relationship with God. We rotate between offering a variety of classes that will challenge your spirit, heart, mind, and body, to having nights of prayer, or Bible study.
If you’re a new believer, we have a mentor who will share with you the fundamentals of your new life in Christ. You will engage in a class entitled Exploring My New Life in Christ. This class will help you live your new life through the powerful truths in the Bible. The Word of God will be your guide to a victorious life in Christ. By following the Word, you invite His favor, blessing, and power into your life. This class will also teach you the basics of being a successful follower of Christ. You will also learn the Biblical basis for water baptism and communion. We will then transition into a teaching on the baptism in the Holy Spirit, followed by a discussion on the importance of living a disciplined life as a believer.
Being baptized is an important step in a Christian’s life – we believe that all those who follow Jesus should follow His example. In Matthew 3, we see that John the Baptist baptized Jesus himself. When we accept Jesus into our lives, baptism is the public declaration we make showing our acceptance of Christ as our Lord and Savior. At Bethel, we celebrate baptism monthly. If you’re interested in becoming a member of Bethel Temple, we have a class for you entitled Understanding Church Life and Membership. This course will address the fundamental truths that serve as the foundation for all that we do at Bethel Temple; we’ll explain our church leadership and ministries; then we’ll discuss your place in it all through church membership. In each session, you will have an opportunity to participate in discussions about God’s word, our church, and church membership.
